by February 18, 2016

Boca Raton, Fla’s Dalton Sargeant has found a new home for the 2016 race season, signing on with Venturini Motorsports to compete in 15 of the 19 remaining races in the 2016 ARCA Racing Series season.

Sargeant will race in the team’s No. 55 Toyota starting at Salem Speedway on Sunday, April 24th.

The 17-year-old will also race with the team at Talladega Superspeedway, Toledo Speedway, both races at Pocono Raceway, Michigan International Speedway, New Jersey Motorsports Park, Winchester Speedway, Iowa Speedway, Lucas Oil Raceway, Berlin Raceway, Salem’s September date, Chicagoland Speedway, Kentucky Speedway and at Kansas Speedway.

Sargeant comes to the team after running full-time with HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East last season and after completing a four-race schedule with Wauters Motorsports in the Camping World Truck Series.

Sargeant finished fourth in the K&N Pro Series East standings last year off of the strength of six top-fives and nine top-10s in 14 races.

“It’s really an honor to have the opportunity to drive the No.55 Toyota Camry for a team like Venturini Motorsports,” Sargeant said. “Not only do we have fast and proven Toyota Camrys, but also a veteran crew chief in Billy Venturini.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of racing on larger tracks, it’s a completely different style of racing than anything I’ve done before but really excited to have two great partners and a diverse schedule for 2016.”

The team also announced on Thursday that they will utilize Microsoft Surface Pro tablets this season to better utilize all technical data coming in for each of its teams.

The usage of the tablets hopes to give the team more mobility to analyze race data and find methods of increasing their speed on the track.

Racing alongside of Sargeant for the Venturini organization this year will be Tom Hessert, who is driving for the team full-time in the No. 25 Toyota.

Also signed to race for the team in 2016 on partial schedules are William Byron, Christian Eckes, Mark Thompson and Cole Williams.
