LONG POND, Pa. — Before the Pocono 400 gets underway at the Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania, check out some of these interesting statistics regarding the Tricky Triangle and the Pocono 400 itself.
2 – Number of drivers who earned their first career Sprint Cup Series victory at the Pocono Raceway. Jeremy Mayfield won his first career race at the track in 1998 while Denny Hamlin won his first career race here in 2006.
6 – Number of wins Jeff Gordon has at Pocono Raceway. Gordon is the winningest active driver at the track.
6.5 – Average starting position of the last 10 winners of the June Pocono race
11 – Number of Pocono wins that Hendrick Motorsports’ current stable of drivers have. (Gordon – 6, Johnson – 3, Kahne – 2)
11 – Number of different winners in the field for Sunday’s race – Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, Carl Edwards, Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, Brad Keselowski, Ryan Newman, Greg Biffle, and Joey Logano have all won at Pocono Raceway in the past.

2005 – Last season where a Ford driver won the Pocono 400 – Carl Edwards won the race for Roush-Fenway Racing (race then was ran for 500 miles.)
2007 – Last season where a driver had won three consecutive points races in a row. Jimmie Johnson won four races in a row in the 2007 season (Martinsville 2, Atlanta 2, Texas 2, Phoenix 2) and is going for his third consecutive points race victory this season on Sunday.
