CHARLOTTE, N.C. — All-star weekend is upon us as 19 teams are locked in for the Sprint All-Star Race taking place at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday.

19 drivers have earned themselves a spot in the race by virtue of – A. Winning a points race in either the 2013 or 2014 seasons, B. Being a past Sprint Cup champion in the past 10 years, and C. Being a past all-star race winner from the past 10 years.

Jeff Gordon (Hendrick Motorsports) will be making his 21st all-star appearance on Saturday, a start that will make him the all-time leader in all-star race starts, breaking the current tie he holds with Terry Labonte.
