DOVER, Del. — After rain washed out most of Thursday’s track activity for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Kyle Busch (Kyle Busch Motorsports) was awarded starting position number one for tomorrow’s Lucas Oil 200.

The field was set for tomorrow’s race by owner points, gifting Busch with his third consecutive P1 starting spot in the Camping World Truck Series. Joining Busch on the front row will be the No. 88 Menards Tundra of Matt Crafton (ThorSport Racing.)

Thursday’s rain showers delayed the start of what was to be the first practice for the Lucas Oil 200. The practice was delayed by a considerable amount of time, prompting NASCAR to cancel it and instead make the day’s practice session into one single 75-minute session, cutting the session by 15 minutes. Once the track’s Air Titans were able to sufficiently dry the concrete racing surface, 24 trucks were able to make it out onto the track to complete a practice lap. The rains would arrive once again 10 minutes into the session, forcing all trucks on-track onto pit road. The track would not return to a condition that would be suitable for racing and thus no trucks would return to the track for the rest of the day.

Busch would run four laps in the 10 minutes of practice, running a lap of 23.005 seconds on his first lap – making him the leader of the session. Busch led a Toyota charge on the speedchart with eight Tundras making it into the top-10 of the shortened session. It should be noted that the speeds listed below may not be indicative of each driver’s true pace considering the 35 entries only had 10 minutes to turn a practice lap.

With qualifying scrapped due to an inadequate amount of practice time for the teams, taking what would have been qualifying’s place tomorrow will now be a final practice session for tomorrow evening’s Lucas Oil 200.
